The Mississippi is leaking!

02 Jan

As if our economy isn’t already hurting enough.  Could God be involved???

(Reuters) – The drought-drained Mississippi River will rise slightly later this week between St. Louis and Cairo, Illinois, but later continue its decline toward historic lows, according to a National Weather Service forecast.

Low water, due to the worst U.S. drought since 1956, has already impeded the flow of billions of dollars worth of grain, coal, fertilizer and other commodities between the central United States and shipping terminals at the Gulf of Mexico.

A further drop in river levels could halt commercial shipping traffic entirely by this weekend, the American Waterways Operators and the Waterways Council Inc said in a statement on Wednesday.

Last week, the council said the river along the Cairo-St. Louis stretch would be too low for navigation by January 7 but on Wednesday it said shipping may come to a halt between January 5 and 15.

A shutdown could affect more than 8,000 jobs, cost $54 million in wages and benefits, and halt the movement of 7.2 million tons of commodities valued at $2.8 billion, the two industry groups said.

It appears as though everything is lining up against us these days.  Oh, well…  it will only offer more ground for the Kenyan to run us up on.  With a drunk riverboat Captain at the helm it seems like we couldn’t buy ourselves a reprieve.  Not even with a sound dollar!

the river region is drying up to climatic shifts

eventually see desertification from the gulf up to canada; very hot summers, very cold winters

For many, that would be the Kenyan. And they wouldn’t dare sure him. After all, he’s God!

Add in the Longshoremans strike that is poised to happen in March (has been delayed till then, several conspiracies on the way) That strike will close ports from NY to the Gulf. No shipping on the Sip or Miss and the only way to move anything will be by truck or rail. Both are already overloaded or lagging in support (and both use massive amounts of diesel) and ALL of that is the backbone of our JIT delivery system.

I think I see part of a blackswan hiding behind that bush of economic collapse. Such a rare breed, it is only seen once in a century.

I agree, Dio. Too many things are just (coincidentally) happening right now that all line up just a little too neatly. Something is brewing and we are falling for it. Just like TPTB is planning on.

This blackswan theory you speak of Dio, from necessity will have a negative domino effect within the economy. As a result of the strike…possibly (probably?) civil unrest, “shortages” of fuel, then food, gun control, and restrictions placed on travel. I am surprised travel restrictions have not been mentioned yet. The list could continue as long as a prostitutes’ dream.

There is still much to do looking at it from the viewpoint of the regime.

There is a lot for them to do before they are really ready. Will that stop them, or can they delay it? Doubtful on both counts. They are the Government.

That’s right Soffitrat, we have no intel so we are constantly blindsided and overrun with their tactics. Anything and everything is to their advantage. The only thing we have for a “Congress” is 535 useful blathering idiots…and any amount of Executive Orders that Comrade Kenyan and his regime needs or wants. He has indicated he is not above bypassing Congress (which is as useless as tits on a wooden Indian anyway) to get whatever he wants.

So, all we can do is wait and let THEM open the ball, coming for my guns is a good opening dance. I figure my hands are clean if they make the first move.

After that, nothing else will really matter.

There are hundreds of thousands (millions) of American who feel exactly as you do. One of the things that the skinny Negroid is going to do is to make it illegal to let a minor have access to guns. To hell with him. I may start this next war. We cannot teach our kids how to hunt for themselves? When the FOOL in the White House doesn’t know anything but how to hold out his black hand for food?

I am finished worrying about other people’s feelings. As a matter of fact, I think it is time to start insulting some idiots.
