Libertarans, Liberals, or just crooks??

Galt’s Gulch Chile

Ever hear of it before?  Check it out.  Maybe watch a video or something.

Galt's Gulch Chile: The Libertarian Oasis

Why is it that some people are so easily separated from their hard-earned money by crooks or swindlers?  Why is it that they think they can simply buy their way out of what lies ahead?  To cut ‘n run.  No matter what they may tell you, it’s fear.  Plain and simple.

And who wants to share a foxhole with a coward anyway?

Same story, different actors

What is interesting to me is that this sounds pretty much like some other ventures I’ve heard about before.  Now, what was it?  Something like the Castle or Citadel, or something…

Thought you would find that interesting. Same story, different actors indeed.

Found it to be most interesting. History repeats? Wonder if Kerodin knows about this? Maybe a better question would be, is this guy his teacher?

They are somewhere between conservative and liberal. Without children.

A google search tuned up this article at the Daily Bell where the author explains that the lot she had been lead to believe she bought wasn’t even for sale!

      http://www.thedailybell [dot] com/editorials/35591/Wendy-McElroy-The-Fate-of-Galts-Gulch-Chile/

      And from this article:
      http://panampost [dot] com/letter/2015/05/04/all-you-need-to-know-about-the-demise-of-galts-gulch-chile/

‘Johnson proceeded to develop what was not a community, but an affinity scam aimed at Western libertarians. He employed deceptive selling practices, violations of Chilean law, multiple bank accounts, and multiple jurisdictions to defraud his investors of US$10.55 million. He enriched himself by using investor money to fund his lifestyle.’

It goes on to say that Johnson got swindled by an even better swindler and lost control of the holding company!

Now there’s bitchy back and forth between those involved in comment sections and blogs just like that Idaho castle thingy and III Arms. Has there ever been a libertarian utopia or ‘movement’ project that actually worked?

Libertardians are the comic relief of the internet! But don’t worry, I’m sure seasteading will pan out.

Was that an issue with the Citadel too?
