Ominous

18 May
Just before his death, John Adams penned a warning to contemporary and future Americans that the choices they made with the great power they inherited would either make them the greatest or the worst nation in the world.

The warnings were frequent and from more than just Adams. Franklin warned us right out the door “if you can keep it” as well as many letters from Jefferson over the many years in follow up.
I find myself going over my ‘formal’ education and finding gaps. Gaps that in hindsight, were seemingly intentional: no access to the anti-federalist papers, skewed history of the dark ages following Charlamagne untill King John Lackland (son of Henry II) after Richard the Lion-hearted. There were critical events there that were important to the mental growth leading up to the founding of this nation, and there was zero or negative attention paid to such.
    Seems rather designed to me.
And that situation has become even worse. I firmly believe that, no matter where this country goes, patriots need to take back control of our progenies educations, no matter what the cost is, no matter how hard TPTwB try to subvert that.

It was also often said that education (public, press, etc.) was critical to maintaining self-governance.

BAM! you nailed it with that one word “Self-Governance”
Seeing how a huge portion of our society is semi-literate, or barely functionally literate, and that there are more than a few on the dole, while being physically capable, just not mentally so,,,,,
Those that fail to learn, fail to lead productive lives. Of course, NannyGov is there to wipe their chins, dry their tears and slip a few bucks into the bank account, but only enough to get a vote and keep ’em coming back for more. No incentives to improve themselves and “self-governance”, Fuggitaboutit! Some that I have met as described, are hardly able to wipe their own buttcheeks, let alone figure out that THEY are responsible to themselves alone.

Dangit ‘Rat! You are going to get me fired up an post a rant again, aren’tcha?

Here I am…..and you both hit the proverbial nail on the head!! I have long said education is the key to maintenance of this nation. The communists know this, that is why it has been such an important target for many decades for them. Lenin has been credited with saying…”give me one generation of youth and I will transform the whole world”. We have given them several generations! I know you have all seen the programs where people on the street are asked questions about politicians, government, etc., and they DON’T HAVE A CLUE. I recently saw several people on TV that could not recite the Pledge of Allegiance for example…amazing!

Americans have been so dumbed-down that it is beyond pitiful, they have no idea how our government is supposed to work. They readily accept whatever bull crap they are fed and are unable to check this info against what is in our most sacred document, the Constitution.

To make matters worse, we have been programed to blindly follow authority, to obey. Whatever comes out of the Oval Office or from the 535 members of Congress is okay because….they are from the government! I find this amazing given the figures showing the lack of confidence in Congress, trust in Congress is the lowest since the beginning of a Congress.

I trust a mealy mouth Congress-critter about as far as I can push my house. I hold them in the same classification as thieves and child molesters because they have deliberately led the stupid people of this country in the direction we are going…they are fully responsible for what is going on.
And they know exactly what they are doing. Dozens of them are giving all sorts of solutions to our country’s ills, yet these are the same people that voted to put us in this situation! These thugs are masters of deception and manipulation.

It appears as though the thin veil covering our greatness since Lincoln’s inauguration, is finally wearing too thin to keep the cracks from showing. The game is about up.

What are you thinking?
