Has Gold bottomed out yet?

A 6+% correction (see below) is probably not the end of the slide (adjustment).

Gold 30day

Still…  This is not a bad time to load up.  If you can.  If not, take a look at Silver.

We don’t have long before you will be kicking yourself for not having moved on this.  How low will it go?  Perhaps as much as 8-10% from July highs.

Not bad when you think that the markets (when they adjust) will correct as much as three times that rate.  When things totally collapse, it could be at 70% (drop) or more.  You still should have time.  But not much.  Keep an eye on this.

Soffitrat I hate to say this but I have no experience in such things and know very little. Mary and I have limited ourselves to investing only in copper and lead!

Will this downswing cause a panic and a mass dumping of gold, if so what might be the result of that?

I understand. We all do what we can and what we know. That is still the best way to move forward. Always has been, and I suspect, always will be. No. Nobody with half a brain will dump gold. This will all swing the other way soon. Then all currencies and mediums of exchange will be tied to the precious metals. At least for a foreseeable (relative short) future.

If you want to order a bit of silver over the Internet APMEX has free shipping if your order contains pre ’64 coins or “junk silver”. A roll of pre-64 dimes (50) contains a little over 3 oz. of silver and costs about $86.00. The best “junk silver” buy IMO is the “Impaired” Silver quarters for $151.45 for just over 7.15 oz of silver(40 coins). Impaired means the quarters are no longer “proof” quality and might have some little scratches or seen a little circulation wear! Code for free shipping is “90silver”.

If you want to get into buying PMs I would get a roll of dimes and then add whatever you can afford of the Rounds or bars of .999 silver. While gold is a great store of value I think silver is very under valued and has greater potential if the SHTF.

I have used APMEX for several years and I’m very pleased with the service.

Yes, they are a reliable source. I have used them before. I’ve been buying pendants with 1919 halves for all of our girls. Call them ‘extreme’ survival necklaces.
