New spin; Old story?

01 Aug

It appears that the ‘new’ spin includes the following regarding the immigration bill as amended by the GOP.  Supposedly, the bill has some good fixes in some areas and some things that we think fall short of where they need to be, but the important part is that we stopped a really bad bill from passing yesterday.

  1. Good thing: Reps. John Carter/Robert Aderholt add language to strengthen the “Other Than Mexican” (OTM) problem. Basically this would allow illegal immigrants from countries other than Mexico to either leave immediately upon being caught or if they choose to stay they would be processed and removed just like Mexicans currently are.

  2. Better than it was yesterday: Instead of appropriating $197M to HHS, only $25M will go to HHS. This is in line with what the Whitehouse originally requested. The remainder will be available to border governors to help pay for National Guard deployment or to non-border state governors who want to send their National Guard to help.

  3. Not ideal, but better than nothing: The bill to deal with the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA) – aka the President’s executive amnesty – would revert back to the original Cruz/Blackburn language which would essentially defund DACA, but it will still be brought up as a separate vote. This is still problematic because the Senate likely will not take it up.

  4. Bad thing: There is an issue with the fact that 40 temporary immigration judges will be appointed by the DOJ. This means that Eric Holder will have the authority to appoint these judges even though he has been found in contempt of Congress for stonewalling investigations into several scandals.

Can’t wait to see how the Kenyan alters it all before he’s done.  And the GOP wants us to believe that they did their jobs?

Soffitrat your last sentence is the most telling for me! The first thing that came to my mind when I heard all this is…what about the laws we have on the books already? I have heard several of the useful idiots on “The Hill” say the system is broken. WHAT? No it isn’t, how is it “broken” and who broke it! Enforce our present laws. But then we know anytime the regime says we need to fix something we are in for another major sidestep of our Constitution.

We know why the regime wants all these people in our country and why the regime wants to make them citizens. VOTES. Why? Because the regime knows without all these votes they can still lose this struggle. We are still playing the game with them for now. Americans are waking up however, they are getting bolder and louder in their vocal opposition to the White House occupant and our do-nothing Congress. These people FEAR what millions of Americans are capable of doing to them and their set-up. They know events might possibly (probably) take a turn for the worst and be down right unhealthy for the usurpers.

I’m hoping the occupants of our government will continue to feel pressured, even threatened. God help them if the regime ever gets the Patriots started, there will be no stopping several million pissed off Freedom Fighters.

Boehner and his little band of merry followers in the House are nothing more than a dog & pony show…simply nothing. Any bill that MIGHT have been beneficial to the citizens is being held up by “Dingy Harry” Reid in the Senate.

He needs to be swinging from a power pole in downtown Las Vegas. That’s about the best I can say about that slime trail.

They will feel neither threatened, nor will they stop this insanity. This, too, is diversion from the collapse, working together, they have caused. They know what is coming and why. They know they (Dems and Reps) are in this together and must surely either hang together or hang separately. We are reacting exactly as they hope we will. They figure it’s their last, best hope to survive. Why else would the GOP be willing to negotiate against themselves for an outcome that can only spell their political doom? They would rather be the permanent minority (and alive) than to be in the majority for but a season. Neither the People, nor the Constitution they swore an Oath to uphold, will receive consideration. It is a colossal mis-calculation.

Yeah I agree that collectively they will not feel threatened. The system we once called government is set up to protect them from failing. But I feel that will change with many of them in due time, that’s my point. I do believe there will be a great struggle, a serious fight, in this country sooner or later and the “pucker factor” will kick in for many of them!

What really infuriates me is the attitude the Republicans are taking about all these events, they are such lying hypocrites. Are they so naive as to think each and every American is buying their trash talk? I don’t think so, yet they keep playing the same old song. Because they are required to.

Are you getting antsy like I am ‘rat?

    “Choose to stay”
    They have the choice?

“processed and removed just like Mexicans currently are”
    Shouldn’t that be “currently aren’t?”

Roger it’s the same old song and dance, they are peeing on our hats and telling us it’s raining.

And we are suppose to just keep on buying their bullshit. Yes, Danny. I am feeling antsy. They want to start the dance, but their masters are not yet sure which way the wind will blow. They could still lose, and lose badly. If they do, they can be sure that we will re-form and track them down (like the dogs they are) anywhere in the world they may choose to hide in. Whatever rock they decide to crawl under. And we will draw and quarter them (and their babies), and confiscate their vast wealth.

Sounds good to me to be honest. As far as I’m concerned everything they have amassed (not earned) in the way of wealth is stolen from the taxpayers. They are the most vile and unspeakably despicable humanoids ever to draw a breath, they deserve the worst they could possibly get.

Yep And they are out there. Living the good life, as we struggle every day with the insanity they sit around and draft up.

” they sit around and draft up.”

All I can say about that is they better enjoy it to the fullest while they can.

Oh, no doubt they see themselves as all-knowing and indispensible. They have known no opposition. Yet. They only think they are insulated from us.
