What would Halsey say?

23 Jul

Chief of naval operations, Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert, told the Wall Street Journal that  his Chinese counterpart mentioned the idea of a U.S. carrier crew touring its lone Liaoning carrier and a Chinese crew touring the USS George Washington.

“I’m receptive to that idea,” Greenert, who saw the Liaoning and other Chinese ships on a recent trip, told the paper.

China has recently made assertive moves in the South China Sea, like deploying an oil rig in the disputed waters, and while it is against the law for the US to show any cooperation with the Chinese military that may risk military knowledge, why would this dingbat let that get in the way?  Especially when his “Dear Leader” doesn’t give a damn about any law.  Even his name is appropriate.

Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert is no Halsey.

This metro-sexual man in uniform couldn’t shine ‘Bull’ Haley’s boots!

For him to even consider this, shows him to be a politicized Pentagon pension chaser, who cares not for his own nation.  With leaders like him, who needs enemies?  It seems like America is just full of Benedict Arnold’s these days.

Read more here, and buy an extra round for Greenert.

Greenert is a dimwitted idiot. I can just image Admiral Halsey giving the Japanese a tour of the USS Enterprise in 1940. Really?! Why don’t we just let the Chi-Coms take one of our Carriers out for a spin for a few days, HELL, let’s just be a good neighbor and build them two or three. We have fretted over the Chinese stealing technology from us for decades now we simply let them waddle into one of the most sophisticated war machines in the world.

    Can you say hidden camera?

My Dad served on a Destroyer Escort (DE39 in Task Force 58) in the south Pacific from April 1944 until the end of the war. He held Admiral “Bull” Halsey in high esteem as did most of the men in the US Navy. Leaders like Admiral Halsey were honorable men, dedicated, motivated and bent on a single purpose in life, to protect America. Something Greenert has no concept of.

    Extra round indeed.

And, in his case, I am not referring to drink.

I am glad that people are seeing Greenert this way finally.
