Did you know?

No, I didn’t think so.  Your “teachers” didn’t tell you about this?

King Lincoln Archive

Nor will Bill O’Reilly, or any other NEA (Northern Education Association) scum.

Honest Abe

Find out what you were never taught.  Or please shut up.

There is so much misinformation about Lincoln that’s been put out for years, I guess it goes back to the statement “if you tell a lie long enough it becomes the truth”. I don’t believe there was any other reason for this twisted version of history other than to polarize people in this country along the lines of race. Existing statements and documents from his time shows Lincoln to be a hypocrite because he didn’t care for the black race. He even went so far as to say he didn’t think the black people should be freed and even wanted to send them back to their nation of origin.

The Emancipation Proclamation was purely a political act to assist him in the war effort. Slaves in the Confederacy were declared free ONLY in the areas of the Southern States that were NOT occupied by victorious Northern forces. This is very plainly stated in the text of the Proclamation! Why did he not free the slaves in all U.S. states if he were so concerned?! This brought the Southern States to the attention of the entire world, mainly England, and they ceased their consideration of assisting the Confederacy. but England had their own axe to grind also, at the time Europe had a voracious appetite for cotton (fashion was huge) and the British were making a fortune in this market off of southern raised ‘short staple’ cotton. But England abhorred slavery and so would not join the South after slavery was made an issue by Lincoln’s Proclamation. He was a shrewd player!

There was a time in years past when I thought like many other people about “Honest Abe”. I heard and read a few grumblings about Lincoln and decided to look into it myself, I guess mainly to disprove these “theories” I was seeing at the time. It’s a surprise and actually somewhat of a cultural shock to find out that occasionally one must let go of their preconceived notions about our history and simply accept what is staring you in the face!

You said it best ‘rat, people must do their own research to learn the truth about many things these days.

“Find out what you were never taught. Or please shut up.”

    Thanks Soffitrat!

      “Honest” Abe?

I’d like to meet the fool who came up with that one.

Me too, he/she obviously didn’t know the truth about that Illinois rascal! I use the term from time to time but only in a sarcastic manner, if Lincoln was honest I’m an Aborigine Aviator!

It is good to know that Lincoln has been burning in hell (even today) since his original meeting with his God, the Devil.
