Today in Ukraine

01 Mar

“If this order in Europe collapses, the US will be in trouble. If it goes to hell then certainly American interests will be at great risk.”  ~ Mikheil Saakashvili, president of Georgia

Calling for the U.S. to take punitive action against the Communists of Russia, the Georgian President (who has been on the receiving end of Putin’s thuggery) stated today that this could turn into a real war between two big European countries, the Ukraine and Russia, and that U.S. interests are indeed at stake here.  He also called on the US to expell Russia from the G8 and “send tax inspectors” into banks where there is Russian interests.

Did he not hear?  We have a weak doper Kenyan for President?  Putin knows this and has no respect for the Kenyan.  Zero.   And why should he?  The Kenyan called him, and then skipped out on his own national security briefing!  If we did move (which would be a huge mistake), he would no doubt place ROE restrictions that prevented us from shooting anyone wearing a Russian uniform.

The Ukrainian defense ministry has said it had information that unknown “radical forces” were planning to try to disarm its military units in Crimea and warned against such action.

The ministry said in a statement on its Website:

“In the case of such unknown actions, the Ukrainian armed forces will act in accordance with the laws of Ukraine and the regulations of the Ukrainian armed forces.”

Look for Putin to begin the blood slaughter soon.  Look for the US to meander along.  At the whims of Europe.

Not to worry Soffitrat, the Kenyan has it all under control. Comrade Kenyan admonished “Pooty-Poot” (Bush’s nickname for Putin) not to interfere in the Ukraine. If Putin disregards this warning, I expect the White House to launch a preemptive name-calling strike very soon, possibly even a fly-by cussin’….with Secretary Hagels’ blessing of course..

This could get serious from our end.

Yes. Putin might lob a few insults of his own right back at us!

The Kenyan is such a weenie. Mr. Reagan was certainly no saint, he made his share of mistakes also I’ll admit, but “by George” he didn’t sit on his hands when somebody messed with Americans.

Oh what I wouldn’t give for another Ronald Wilson Reagan!

Anything less than that and we don’t stand a chance. I don’t think that 10 Reagan’s could pull us out of this hole. A hole that the Kenyan has helped us to dig. He is NOT one of us. Putin’s people learned a long time ago to assess this freak the same as they would a Saudi agent. As if he were born in anti-colonial Kenya, with Marxist roots and racist tendencies. He hates America and they know exactly how to push his buttons. They just can’t get quite past the infrastructure. But they are close to doing so.

I am in total agreement with you ‘rat. As far as Washington DC is concerned, there is NO solution to our problems. Only more of them!

And so we will float along with our, whichever way the wind blows, foreign policy. Ships following such forms of navigation, often encounter rocks.

“Ships following such forms of navigation, often encounter rocks.”

This is true, but the ones in the pilot house stand more to lose.

Yes, but the people (in this case) are the keel.

Just a reminder to me I need to hurry and get to Texas or somewhere else south of the Mason-Dixon Line sooner rather than later. When the spaghetti hits the fan from this situation, I need to be around folks that are a bit more self-sufficient than the sheep I’m currently surrounded with.

Militialaw until our situation changed for the better several months ago in north Arkansas, Mary and I were seriously looking to take Soffitrat up on pretty much the same offer. I don’t know where you are but if you are uncomfortable and see little or no hope in that area, get out of Dodge if possible.

What are you thinking?
