In the U.N. arms treaty vote today, Australian Ambassador Peter Woolcott, who chaired the negotiations, said the treaty will “make an important difference by reducing human suffering and saving lives.”

“We owe it to those millions — often the most vulnerable in society — whose lives have been overshadowed by the irresponsible and illicit international trade in arms,” he told the assembly just before the vote.

Is there not one patriot left in Australia who will drop that bastardly man with an ax, a hammer, a club, a knife, or a bullet?

Another lost country. They were smart enough, however, to drop the dollar.

You’re right, Danny. We are both lost. Which one will bounce back first? I’m betting that it won’t be Australia. They have nothing to fight back with anymore, and will find the Chinese will be their new host. A most unfriendly ‘new’ host.

I’m with you on that one my friend. They gave up their guns too easily now they might as well be living in the so-called “stone age”…rocks and sticks don’t just won’t make the grade these days!

I guess the same thing happened to the Aussies that happened to most Americans. Their aggressive warrior spirit during the Korean War really impressed my Dad. He would be disappointed to have seen them give that up along with their firearms.
