Council meeting tonight during which, it was determined to deny an illegal hispanic the equal giving of an alleyway. Said alleyway was occupied years ago (say about 60 or 70 years ago?) by old homeowners, but this woman has been trying to get even with them for some perceived (or real) insult against her. Even though she doesn’t even live in the house next door anymore, she wants to cause those people problems. She should, by all rights, even be here, but here she is using our own feelings (and rules) of what is right against us.
Alleys in this town were surveyed out by the Railroad (this is an old Railroad town) and designed for deliveries of coal, but never really used. Anyway, this woman’s neighbors evidently treated her badly. “Like she is dirt!” Well… that’s her side of the story anyway. Can you say, “A woman scorned”?? Well, she knows that the City is considers deeding over any and all of the alleys that don’t serve a purpose. (Water, sewer, or other lines or easements) She now wants the City to make the adjacent landowners to remove their fence from her half of the alley. An alley that hasn’t been deeded yet! Teach them a lesson!
Meanwhile her sons are trying to take advantage of the Kenyan’s dream act. They want free stuff. You know? Education, social security, food stamps, and more? Now she wants the old timers, who have had relatives in this place since the 1870’s, to just cave in to her wishes. She has actually taken the position that she can do these things with impunity and the stupid gringos will give her whatever she wishes. We owe her!
Well, the council decided tonight that it will leave the fences where they are. This will still give her approximately 2 feet on one end of her property and 4 feet on the other end. But the fences will not be moved. Perhaps she, herself, should think about making an apology to her neighbors instead of the other way around. The road to Mexico goes South too!
